Since the grassroots beginning of the Queensland Homicide Victims’ Support Group over 30 years ago, volunteer peer support groups and activities were established throughout Queensland to facilitate a far-reaching network of connections that provide mutual support.  The peer facilitated activities that are available, such as monthly support groups, peer-to-peer phone calls and social events are crucial to the support of families and enable our organisation to build a strong community.  QHVSG has nine peer support groups operating throughout Queensland – In Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Gympie, Ipswich, Mackay, Maryborough, the Sunshine Coast and Townsville.
