Ethical Journalism In Media

QHVSG works in close and considered association with State and National media organisations. It is our intention, through consistent and professional communications, to ensure first and foremost the interests of our members, those who have been impacted by homicide.  Secondarily, we understand and acknowledge the value that ethical journalism can bring to the justice process related to homicides specifically. There are many instances whereby media have played an instrumental role in bringing about justice through awareness of suspected perpetrators and equally have conveyed accurate and empathetic stories in relation to individuals and families who have lost a loved one to homicide.  QHVSG works only with media representatives who comply with the Australian Standards for Ethical Journalism.
